Welcome to Year 1

Class 4 is taught by Miss Fisher and Class 3 is taught by Mrs Harkness. Miss Hamer and Miss Bannister are part of the team working alongside them. There are other staff helping the children, including Miss Stirling, Miss Storey and Miss Porter

Class 3 and Class 4 have P.E. on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Please make sure your child has their P.E. kit at school throughout the week. 

Our homework books should be brought in for every Wednesday so we can see your lovely work.

AUTUMN 1

Pigs Might Fly by Jonathan Emmett and Steve Cox is the story stimulus for our character description work this half term. 

We have explored paper manipulation using Van Gogh's Starry Night as our inspiration. 

We are very lucky to have a local weaving business called Linton Tweed on doorstep. They have provided us with lots of fabric to use in our weaving to go along with old jumpers and clothing which was not good enough to donate.

We have been singing the song London's Burning, building houses in the construction area and discovering what happened and why. We have the pictures up on our timeline in the corridor so we can see how long ago this happened.
